Adata has a new line-up of solid state drives announced. The company comes up with three new series, which for three segments are meant to be. The largest capacity that Adata gives is 512GB. This ssd is Adata’s topserie, the XPG line, offered.
The XPG series, or Xtreme Performance Series, is powered by a SandForce SF2281 controller. About the sata-600 interface can data with up to 550MB/s read; write can be up to 530MB/s and the drives get up to 85,000 iops. The XPG SX900-series is available in capacities of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
The Premier Pro-series, with the SP900-model number, is the line for the midrange, with a maximum capacity of 256GB. Smaller drives have space for 64GB or 128GB and the SP900 series also has a SandForce controller on board. About the sata-600 interface can be sequential data rates of up to 505MB/s and 520MB/s for respectively reading and writing achieved, with a maximum of 85,000 iops. The differences with the XPG series, is separated the difference in maximum capacity, is not clear.
The ‘short-term’ available Premier SP800 series, finally, is clearly abnormal. The drives are equipped with a sata300 interface and a slower controller. For sequential read and write respectively 280MB/s and 260MB/s specified in of 44,000 iops. The drives will have capacities of 32GB and 64GB appear, according to Adata.
