In several European cities activists the street merged to protest against the controversial ACTA treaty. In Amsterdam, you’ll find about 200 men. Amnesty International calls on member states the treaty does not draw.
In Amsterdam it is a procession of about 200 people through the city to protest against ACTA. Also in Rotterdam there are a few dozens of people to the demonstrate. The netherlands is one of the last countries that still need to decide about signing. In many other European cities, the rise is greater. In Germany there are more than fifty cities, protests are going on. In Cologne, there would be two thousand people on the streets and in Hanover could be of the order 1500 protestants. In the Bulgarian capital would even 4000 to 8000 people participate in the Stop ACTA protest march.

The ongoing protest against the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement seems to have an effect: among others, Poland, Czech republic and recently Germany, have announced their signature not to convert. Germany wants the position of the European Parliament to wait and see.
Friday joined Amnesty International at the opponents. The organization is called the treaty a ‘Pandora’s box’ for potential violations of human rights. Especially the scope of the treaty and the vague texts of provisions to bear the Amnesty concerns. Also claims to be the organisation that ACTA countries encourages the enforcement by third parties, outside of court. “Therefore, isps tend to repressive measures, such as blockades, deletions, or even the shutdown of services, in order to avoid infringement, without a court about bows.” Amnesty press, European governments, therefore, the heart to the treaty not to be signed.
Minister of Justice Hirsch Ballin had previously know that the ACTA treaty will probably not go further than the Dutch criminal code. Minister Verhagen of Economic Affairs repeats the soothing words Saturday against the NIS. The German minister of Justice showed itself in similar terms. Researchers claim, however, that ACTA international and European treaties violates.
