Square Enix announces Sleeping Dogs to

Developer United Front Games is working for publisher Square Enix on Sleeping Dogs. It is supposed to be True Crime: Hong Kong, but under a new name. Square Enix took over in 2011, the rights to the game.

Activision decided, in February 2011, a number of games to delete, including True Crime: Hong Kong. The publisher thought the new True Crime could not compete with other games in the sandbox genre. A few months later, announced Square Enix that the rights to the game had been taken over by Activision. The Japanese publisher had not only the rights to the name in hands. It would be developer United Front Games, however, continue to pay to the development of the game to finish. Meanwhile, Square Enix is a new name for the game invented. The game will be in the second half of this year as the ‘Sleeping Dogs’ will appear on the market, for pc, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. United Front Games will receive support from Square Enix’s own London Studios.

In Sleeping Dogs, get the player in the shoes of undercoveragent Wei Shen, who is from the inside must try the infamous Hong Kong Triads, to roll. Just like the True Crime games, Sleeping Dogs is a combination of shooting and racing. The player can also make use of Oriental vechtechnieken and attributes to use as circular saws, phone booths, ijskastdeuren and fire extinguishers.
