Hackers crack Microsoft Store India

Hackers have the website of the Indian Microsoft Store cracked. The frontpage was replaced with a notice that the site was hacked. Furthermore, there are data, including unencrypted passwords, are accessible.

The site WPSauce has been discovered that the website of the Indian Microsoft Store, where Microsoft sells its own products, was gedefaced. There was a Guy Fawkes mask is displayed. Meanwhile, is the defacement removed, but the website is not yet online; a message is displayed stating that the website is not currently available.

The Chinese weblog Hackteach writes, however, that the hack still goes much further than just a defacement. The blog has screenshots posted, showing that the attackers complete control over the server on which the site ran. Screenshots suggest that the database with user information was visible. The passwords of users would be unencrypted are stored.

Microsoft has not yet confirmed that there is actually private information were accessible. Also yet to be discovered or that data was stolen.
