Hacker provides account information Runescape forum for sale

An unknown hacker has on a forum, a database is provided containing account information of users of the Runescape forum Rsnl.eu. The accounts would have been most recently captured. Rsnl.eu speaks about a ‘big attack’.

The hacker, who Haci calls, says that he has four copies of a database with account information want to sell. Or the hacker already actual copies sold, it is not clear. Haci suggests that it is recent and still-functioning accounts of approximately 23,000 users of the Dutch Runescape forum Rsnl.eu. The passwords would be protected are stored but simply assume that this encryption is easily cracked.

It is not clear how the hacker the information has managed to get hold of. At Rsnl.eu is currently reading that there is a ‘databaseprobleem’. Also on the forumdeel of the Runescape site, confirmed that this is affected by a ‘major attack’. The administrators promise in the short term, with more details to come.
