In the context of Google’s reward program for vulnerabilities to be found, there are 1100 bugs and vulnerabilities in the software and services of the company found. Google has more than 310,000 euros awarded to the hackers.
Approximately 200 hackers are already little more than a year trying to find vulnerabilities and bugs in websites and services from Google. In total, there are already 1100 vulnerabilities found on Google.com, Youtube, Orkut, Blogger and other services, reports Google. About half of those leaks was found in software from companies that Google has acquired. 730 of the 1100 leaks were eligible for a reward, so an average of 424 euro.
Google started the program as a result of the great success of their Chromium-rewards program, and their experience with such projects. The developers conclude that: “a Lot more people to vulnerabilities search through bug bounty programs.”
