Blizzard wants to prevent Valve ‘Dota’ records

Blizzard doesn’t want Valve a trademark on Dota requests. Dota, or Defense of the Ancients, is a modification for Blizzards rts-game Warcraft 3. Both developers are working on the successor of the Action Real-Time Strategy mod.

Valve began in 2010 with the procedure for requesting a trademark on the word Dota, reports Kotaku. Blizzard showed not happy with the request, but the group took no further action.
