Warren Spector will get Lifetime Achievement Award at GDC

On 7 march, Warren Spector at the Game Developers Conference, the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. The American ge lwa dre because of his work on games like System Shock, Thief and Deus Ex.

At the Game Developers Conference in early march held in San Francisco, to choose the members of the Game Developers Association annually to someone who has a lot for the games industry means. The person will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. This year the honor to turn to Warren Spector, the price on 7 march to be awarded. Spector is already thirty years of active developer. He became known through his work at Origin Systems and Looking Glass Studios where he worked on games like Ultima Underworld I and II, System Shock and Thief: The Dark Project. In the last two was Spector involved as a producer.

Then put Spector in Texas a private studio which he has in 2000, the action-rpg Deus Ex delivered. The last feat of Spector’s Epic Mickey, a game around Mickey Mouse, who Spector made in collaboration with Disney. The game, which only appeared for the Wii, was not a success. Spector was not involved in the development of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which appeared in 2011.

Spector follows with its Lifetime Achievement Award to Peter Molyneux, that’s the price in 2011. Previous winners are John Carmack, Shigeru Miyamoto, Sid Meier, Hideo Kojima and Will Wright.
