Toshiba unveils 14″-ultrabook

Toshiba has the Satellite U840 released. The ultrabook has a screen with a diagonal of 14″ and is 19,9 mm thick. Toshiba is the laptop with an ssd of 128GB or a hdd in combination with a caching ssd of 16GB.

Toshiba has revealed the Satellite U840 in January at CES, but has this now been officially released, as the first in Singapore and Australia. The 14″screen has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and Toshiba brings the system out with a Core i3 as a Core i5, such as the Core i5-2467M. The ultrabook with up to 8GB ddr3 delivered. Furthermore, there are systems with an ssd of 128GB, but also with a hard drive of 320 or 500GB, with an additional caching ssd of 16GB is loaded for quick launch.

There are three usb ports of which one of the 3.0-type. Also, there are hdmi and support for bluetooth 3.0. The keyboard is backlit and the camera has a capacity of 1.3 megapixels. The weight of the laptop with ssd is 1.59 pounds, but at the Australian page, according to Toshiba 1,73 kilos, probably to the model with hdd, is referred to. The ultrabook will cost 1499 Australian dollars, converted 1235 euro. Thus, it is not a cheap ultrabook, such as the CES was announced, but on the actual Dutch price is the wait.
