Intel 520 ssd is already available in shops

Intel’s latest solid state drive for consumers, the 520 series, is already at some online shops available. Intel has the ssd, however, has not yet been formally ge lwa site. The 510-successor was already in the last quarter of 2011 expected.

The Dutch webshops that have the latest consumer ssd’s from Intel already carry, may not have the details of the 520-series online. For the time being, therefore, to guess the exact specifications of the successor of the 510-series, code named Cherryville carries. With the entry in the price lists are, however, all prices and capabilities of the 520-series is known.

The 520 series is available in capacities of 60, 120, 240 and 480GB, for prices of approximately 130, 210, 480 and 950 euro. Also available is a 180GB version available. In all probability, have the drives with a SandForce SF2281 controller on board with Intel’s own firmware, 25nm mlc-flash memory drives.
