The step differs from what Google has up to now did: apps in the Market were not checked until a report came in of malware. By the market is Android, however, rapidly becoming an attractive target for malwaremakers, which measures are necessary. Both Apple and Microsoft before apps in their downloadwinkels appear scans for malware. That strict control is also introduced to prevent malware.

Android is the mobile platform for which most malware is made. Google grip already several times in as apps with malware were reported.
