EA lays brand name of Insomniac game Outernauts fixed

A French site discovered that Electronic Arts, the brand name Outernauts has established. The site discovered in addition, an internal marketing document showing that the game will be made by Resistance developer Insomniac Games.

Website Hardgamers found an internal marketing document from the Electronic Arts online with information on FY13, which, in all likelihood, the fiscal year 2013. In the document, which is now offline, were the names of games that are on the market through EA Partners, the branch of the publisher that works with independent developers.

The most notable name on the list was Outernauts, a game of which EA, the brand name appears to have been recorded in the US Patent Office. The still unannounced game is made by Insomniac Games, that 2011 shooter Resistance 3 delivered. Resistance 3 was Sony exclusive for the PlayStation 3 on the market. Outernauts is the second partnership between Insomniac and EA. During the last E3 announced EA all of Overstrike, a shooter made by Insomniac for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

On the list provided by HardGamers discovered was adorned also the name Populous. EA explained to the brand name Populous in 2009, but it was not known whether the publisher is also a game with that title in production. The list makes it clear that EA in fiscal year 2013, a Populous game on the market. Populous is a classic god-game from 1989, made by Bullfrog Studios. The concept was invented by Bullfrog founder Peter Molyneux. EA got the brand name in the hands when the the studio in 1995 took over.
