Apple releases new version of problematic update

Apple has a new version of its recently released Security Update for OS X posted online. The previous version provided in Snow Leopard for problems with Rosetta, the compatibility layer for PowerPC applications.

The update for OS X that Apple last week released, had 52 vulnerabilities, close. So were other holes in SquirrelMail and PHP poem. Security Update 2012-001 changed, however, also some Rosetta-files. This was under OS X Snow Leopard to a result that PowerPC applications are no longer wanted to run. Furthermore, in the most recent OS X version, Lion, a few bugs within the gui occur after the install of the update.

Apple now has a modified version of the ‘monsterpatch’ is released that no problems with the Rosetta software would need to give. Version 1.1 can currently, however, only via the software update feature can be acquired. Also would the problems with Lion have still not been resolved.
