Antec has its series of high-end power supplies for gamers is enhanced with the High Current Gamer M series. The new series is part of antec’s Hybrid Modular series power supplies, and is equipped with the 80Plus Bronze certification.
The High Current Gamer M series is available in different wattages, in which the emphasis is not on the high numbers, but especially useful ability. The series is available in versions with 400, 520 and 620W of power available. The power supplies are ‘hybrid modular’, a marketingterm for incomplete modularity. The two power cables for the motherboard, the 24pins and the 4+4 pin cables, are wired to run, the rest is modular.
The power supplies are intended for game systems with only one video card. The 620W version has, like the 520W version, two pci-express voedingsconnectors, while the 400W version only has one. Furthermore, in all versions, with five or six sata connectors, and four or six molex connectors available, all modular cables. A fan of 135mm diameter provides cooling of the power supplies. The power supplies were prices of 85, 99 and 109 euros, and are available immediately.
