According to a posting from a moderator Fenwei of the fotografieforum ClubSnap, the smc Pentax-DA 40mm F2.8 XS lens a length of only 9.2 mm, while the filter size 27mm. According to the posting, the lens appearance is just like the Pentax K-01-ilc designed by industrial designer Marc Newson.

The Pentax K-01-body would be made of the route out of aluminium, and partly covered with rubber. The compact system camera would be equipped with the aps-c image sensor with 16 megapixels of the Pentax K-5 dslr and have a Pentax K-mount, so existing Pentax-dslr-lenses on the system can be used.

The K-01 would continue the same 3″vga lcd of the Pentax K-5, as well as a built-in flash. For the new system would initially three lenses are available, including the above 40mm-pancakelens. Including battery, the camera would 560g roads and 121x79x59mm large.
