Samsung has its first quadcore processor based on the Cortex A15 core ge lwa site. The Exynos 5450 has a Mali T658 gpu. The soc will presumably only in 2013 in tablets and smartphones of Samsung to be applied .
The Exynos 5450 is the most powerful on the ARM architecture-based soc Samsung has show. The four processor cores run normally at 2GHz, says PhoneArena. The soc is made on a 32nm process, just like some other new processors from Samsung, as the Exynos 4212 and the 4412.
The Exynos 5450 is designed for smartphones and tablets and has a Mali T658 gpu on board. Although Samsung does not say when the 5450 for the first time in smartphones and tablets to find, that may still take some time: to ARM, the Mali T658 in november last year, newly released.
The new topprocessor of Samsung is baked on a 32nm process. This makes it, according to Samsung for that the soc at identical workloads, twenty percent less of the battery than the current 45nm-soc’s. It is based on ARM’s Cortex A15 core. There are no products with Cortex A15 processors on the market: the current ARM-multicores are all based on the Cortex A9 like the Nvidia Tegra 3 in the Asus Transformer Prime tablet.
Samsung has not announced what products it is the Exynos 5450 will use, but it fits his Exynos-line up to now only in tablets and smartphones. The most powerful processor that the up to now used is the Exynos 4210, a dual-core Cortex A9 processor in the smartphone Galaxy S II and tablet Galaxy Tab 7.7.
