‘Nikon 1 sensor is suitable for 4k video

The cmos image sensor in the new Nikon 1 compact system camera suitable for 4K video, so Tetsuya Yamamoto, head of nikon’s development department in an interview declared. Also worked on lichtsterkere 1 Nikkor lenses.

In the interview on DPReview, taken at the CES trade show, says Yamamoto that the Nikon 1 sensor is suitable for 2K and 4K video, four times the resolution of full hd, and that Nikon is planning on this feature in the future to make it possible on the Nikon 1 platform. The information is not to cause or 4K-video capability for the current Nikon 1 J1 and V1 models will be available through a firmware update or that Nikon new models will be introduced.

In addition, Nikon is busy with the development of lichtsterkere 1 Nikkor lenses for the ilc platform. According to Nikon, which is an additional advantage of lenses with a larger aperture that the phase detection af of the Nikon 1 devices will be faster. Due to the small sensor size think Nikon lichtsterkere lenses still relatively small to be able to keep. Currently, the 10mm-primelens with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 the most bright lens in the line-up.

The Nikon 1 system is the only one of the available compact system cameras, use of focus via phase-detection, such as by dslr cameras used. Nikon has af points on the image sensor integrated. Phase detection af is generally faster than the contrast detection af that other ilc cameras.

Yamamoto also responded to other criticism. So considering Nikon for the Nikon 1 V-series is the ability to manually switch between phase detection and contrast detection for focusing, but will not be offered for the Nikon 1 J series. Also Nikon will maybe have more options for the Auto Iso functionality to offer slower shutter speeds in low light conditions to avoid. Yamamoto has no timeline specified for the changes.
