The new high-end m4/3-ilc-camera, Olympus allegedly next week to announce, will probably get the designation of the E-M5. The expectation is that the camera is the first compact system camera weathersealing .

The E-M5 would be part of the new OM-D camera series. This would, of course, the current Olympus Pen m4/3 models differ by the inclusion of an electronic viewfinder and a high quality finish. The eff would have the same specifications as the Olympus VF-2-external viewfinder. The association of the name with the current E-5-dslr is probably due not to chance.

According to geruchtensite 43Rumors, the new E-M5 image sensor with 16 megapixels, and the expectation is that this is almost the same as the sensor in the Panasonic Lumix G3 and GX1 models.

To other specifications, it is still guessing. On 8 February, just before the CP+show in Japan, would the new camera be announced. That Olympus was planning such a camera to announce, it appeared from the announcement of the M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-50mm F3.5-6.3 EZ, the first m4/3 lens with weathersealing.
