Netgear comes with four new ProSafe Gigabit switches

Netgear has four new ProSafe Gigabit L2+ managed switches announced. The switches of the Intelligent Edge series feature twelve or twenty-four gigabit ports, and support power over ethernet plus standard.

The switches carry the model numbers GSM5212P, GSM7212F, GSM7212P, and GSM7224P. The new ProSafe switches from the Intelligent Edge series are according to Netgear, especially suitable for small to medium-sized businesses that network components need to have the ‘edge’ of the network. Also, the managed switches are especially suitable for applications such as voip and video streaming.

The GSM7212F provides according to Netgear, if the first switch in this segment, twelve gigabit ethernet ports of which four power over ethernet+support. Per port up to 30W of power to be provided.
