The Japanese company Murata has at CES in Las Vegas are cycling robot, ‘Murata Boy’ demonstrated. The robot with the gyroscope is capable on a narrow ledge to cycling and would have a speed of 2 kilometres per hour.
The Murata Boy serves as the show models for the different components that Murata provides for a variety of electronic products, such as televisions, smart meters, and automotive systems. To stay in balance while stationary and while driving slowly, the robot with a gyroscope. With a light tap, he is however out of balance. Murata Boy can move forward and backwards and his head move.
There are several sensors available for the operation of the cycling robotjongen. So is there a sensor that bumps can detect and that with the help of ultrasonic sound barriers can perceive. The bike man-machine can further with pcs, tablets and mobile phones to communicate, and there is a speaker present to produce a sound.
Murata Boy is not new; the company has been around since 2006, but outside of Japan he is not often demonstrated. There is also a female version, that on a unicycle ride, Murata Girl, but who was not present at the CES.
