Mozilla has in the latest nightly build of Firefox 12, a number of changes in the interface of the open source browser made. As has Firefox a new page as a blank tab is opened.
In the latest Aurora release, the alphakanaal for Firefox, on the page that the user is using a new tab opens, a matrix is shown of three-by-three screenshots of the most visited web pages. The user can also determine which websites in the list will be shown, while also the order of the displayed links can be changed. These currently experimental feature, however, should be via about:config will be activated.
If the home button is used, Firefox 12 more possibilities in the presented “home page”: the browser shows so-called launchers for immediate access to frequently used components, such as, for example, the file download window. Mozilla want there, like Chrome, also has links to frequently used web applications and a list of the instant messenger Google Talk to add, but it is still unclear to what extent the browserfabrikant this will eventually commit.
Mozilla is experimenting in Firefox 12 with an autocompletion feature for urls. Also this functionality is not new; Google Chrome provides this feature for some time. It will, however, still some months until the regular Firefox users and the new features to see; it is expected that the final of Firefox 12 in april by Mozilla to be released.
