Mozilla brings version own mobile OS for the Galaxy S II from

Mozilla has a first version of Gaia, the interface of its mobile operating system, B2G, to be published online. The interface has a feature that allows to developers with a press of a button the source code of an app can see.

The function to get the source code directly to see it is possible because all of the apps in Gaia apps. Screenshots of the feature have been put online by mobile developer RealNorth. Gaia is built in by default in B2G, and may via the Android sdk on Ubuntu, are used to a Galaxy S II to flash, it appears from the manual that came with the code. The user has software like that from ClockworkMod recovery, need to have B2G with Gaia on his phone flashing. The source code is available on GitHub.

B2G is Mozilla’s own mobile operating system for smartphones. It is unclear whether or not a phone from the factory is with the webapps-based system, or that Mozilla the download only is going to offer for existing phones.

The interface of Gaia see there is currently little innovation. The app that opens by default is the homescreen. The main menu consists of a dock with four icons at the bottom, above which are four rows of each four icons. Such a system has for many years been used in interfaces for phones and is more known for Apples iOS and Samsungs TouchWiz skins.
