MegaUpload-hoster and EFF to bring legal files in map

Carpathia Hosting, one of the companies where MegaUpload the files it cleans, together with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a hotline set up to map out how many people MegaUpload for legal storage used.

Carpathia and the EFF have set up a website for the hotline established under the name MegaRetrieval.com with more information about the intentions and possibilities. Users of MegaUpload who is the service used for the storage of legal files and reside in the United States, through an e-mail address to contact the EFF to tell their stories. The EFF wants to be on that way how much people MegaUpload used for the storage of legal files and that people, where possible, help their files to get back.

Whether that will succeed is the question. On the website you can read that hoster Carpathia does not have access to the data of MegaUpload users. The EFF says a small non-profitinstantie and, therefore, not to be able to ensure that they are all people who respond can help. Or allows Carpathia to know that it has no immediate plans to the MegaUpload servers in to convert for other purposes and that the data as yet so safe. Should that change, then the hoster there are at least seven days in advance notification.
