Kodak begins patentenzaak for Samsung Galaxy Tab

Kodak, which Thursday deferment of payment granted, Samsung has sued for the violation of five patents of the company. The alleged violations would relate to the Galaxy Tab series from the Korean company.

Samsung infringes with its Galaxy Tab tablets, according to Kodak it is a set of five patents. These are successively the patent 6,292,218, 7,210,161, 7,742,084, 7,453,605 and 7,936,391. The indictment is submitted to the U. S. District Court for the Western District of New York.

The first of the aforementioned patents relates to the display of previews of the taken pictures on the screen of a camera or mobile device, while the other four have to do with the sending of pictures from a digital camera via a wi-fi or mobile network.

Kodak has Samsung in 2008 at the ITC sued for breach of any of the above camerapatenten. This case was, however, in 2010, suitable for an amount of 550 million dollars, even before the introduction of the first Galaxy Tab.

The legal department of Kodak runs at full speed. Last week served Kodak is already a criminal complaint against Apple and HTC in which four of the above five patents were cited.

Kodak have been trying for some time different patentenportfolio to interested companies to sell and businesses to sell to the head above the water. Appearances on television can accelerate. The company has Thursday deferral of payment requested.
