The publishers were in a legal battle over the Fallout series. Interplay owned until 2007, all of the rights to Fallout, as Bethesda in Interplay a license, had taken to role-playing Fallout 3. Interplay wrong, however, in heavy weather and was forced to get the rights to Fallout to sell. Bethesda was interested and explained to 5,75 million dollars down for the franchise.

Interplay retained a license to make a Fallout-mmog. Bethesda, however, was of the opinion that Interplay does not comply with the agreements held and began in april 2009, a lawsuit to the license for the Fallout-mmog from Interplay back in. Both publishers disputed various points of their agreement in court before a settlement came to it.
