The Ukraine lwa ense ontwikkelstudio GSC Gameworld has announced that the development of Stalker 2 after the holidays is continued. Who is in charge of the studio, whose owner is boarding, is not yet clear.
The team behind the Stalker has via his Facebook page announced that the work on game Stalker 2 after the holidays will resume. In Ukraine Christmas on January 7 is celebrated and many companies are there during the first two weeks of the year still. After this holiday will be the employees of GSC Gameworld, therefore, simply report on their work.
The future of Stalker 2, it was unclear when in december it became known that the owner of GSC Gameworld, Sergei Grigorovich, the studio had closed. The reason of his departure was not announced, but there was speculation that Grigorovich was not satisfied about the progress of development of Stalker 2. Another possible explanation is that GSC Gameworld is no publisher could be found for the consoleversies of Stalker 2. The pc version of the game only would not be enough to raise money. GSC Gameworld has none of these statements confirmed.
It is not yet known who the studio has taken over. According to Eurogamer.net has the Ukrainian government’s interest to allow the company to take over. Or that has happened, or that another investor is found, is not clear. Stalker 2 has no publisher, and there is no release date yet.
