Gigabyte shows intel Ivy Bridge motherboards at CES

Gigabyte has introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show its line-up of motherboards shown. The signs are suitable for Intel’s next generation processors codenamed Ivy Bridge. Gigabyte has several boards for gamers ready.

The motherboards with the Series 7 chipset for Ivy Bridge processors are not yet ready, so had a spokesperson of the company know. Would all of the features largely defined, but especially the heat sinks on the power supply and the pair of the G1 series are not yet final. Thus, the competition no chance of getting the design to imitate. The boards are equipped with Intel’s new Series 7 chipset, which includes usb 3.0 and sata-600 interfaces. Of course, the lga1155 sockets backwards compatible with the current Sandy Bridge processors.

In the top are G1.Snipers of the third generation to be found, in an atx and matx version. The G1.Sniper 3 is the atx board with four pci-express 3 x16 slots, two x1 slots and a pci slot. Four memory slots, eleven sata ports, an msata connector, eight usb 3.0 connectors and all the usual video outputs round out the features. The matx variant only has three x16 slots and one x1 slot, and the five sata ports. Also the number of usb 3.0 ports is four units less.

The mainstream motherboards are the GA-Z77X-UD5H and GA-Z77X-UD3H. For the business market there is the GA-B75M-D3H. The two Z77 motherboards with three x16 slots, three x1 slots and a pci slot. The UD5H has ten sata ports and eight usb 3.0 ports, however, a richer equipment than the UD3H, which, with respectively eight and four ports should do. The B75 version with six sata ports and four usb 3.0 ports, also a little less rich poor equipment. About prices could Gigabyte have had nothing to say.
