‘EU wants to be roaming fees to further reduce’

The European Union would have plans to the maximum amounts that providers for roaming may charge to reduce further. The rates would still be internally discussed and about a few months to be published.

Reuters news agency has the plans be viewed and reports that roaming charges in the European Union be reduced to 15 cents per belminuut. A megabyte of data consumption would be 20 cents is going to cost you. It was not indicated what the maximum amount for a text message, you’re going to be. The prices go further than what european commissioner Neelie Kroes previously suggested as a maximum rate. They readjusted to the rates from 2014 to 24 cents per belminuut and 50 cents per megabyte. Further, the EU continues with its commitment to price differences between roaming and domestic tariffs, around 2015, to make them disappear.

The new plans in July of this year already be introduced. So, that means that providers are not only less in may charge, but that the decline of the prices also sharper. In 2013 and 2014, according to the new plans also price cuts take effect. A belminuut or sms’you need to than 5 cents is going to cost you, but it was not reported what data is going to cost.

It would not be the first time that providers are forced to reduce their prices. Last year, telco’s all the new prices to the legislation of the EU can be met. In the immediate future, so again, price cuts are implemented, but because the plans yet to be internally discussed, it is still uncertain what are the rates in the regulations are included.
