The Dutch company Gembird during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas a prototype of its e-paperprinter, abbreviated to ePP, is shown. The ‘printer’ allows documents to an e-ink display that can be read.
The e-paperprinter of EnerGenie, a company of the Dutch Gembird, is intended mainly for business use so the paperless office to achieve. Instead of a print on paper to create documents on a tablet with e-ink display is stored. The tablet is in a docking station, that if the printer is recognized via usb is connected, loaded with documents.
After printing, the document appears in the memory of the ePP and with the touchscreen can, with the help of a scribe aantekeningeng on the document or a signature. Modified documents as pdf to the pc to be sent.
Gembird showed at the CES is not only a plastic mockup of the ePP, but has also had a working prototype on a laptop linked.
