Public authority Logius explains DigiD about a week and a half to six hours down to a vulnerability on the servers to fix it. It would probably go to a vulnerability that previous month has been made public by a security company.
DigiD will not work on Monday, February 6, from midnight to six o’clock in the morning, according to a notification, Logius by NOS-reporter Jeroen Wollaars is published online. In that time, no one can login with his or her DigiD. Logius, in that time, a server upgrade, so the servers behind DigiD is no longer vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack. Logius provides no further details on the nature of the vulnerability. According to the NOS, it may also be that Logius, the vulnerability earlier resolves.
Security.nl brings the notification related to a vulnerability by a security company, n.runs is revealed. With the exploit of that vulnerability, that exists in various programming languages, exploits a DoS attack by means of hash collisions. By which hash collisions can the attacker to the cpu of a server, fully charge, so that no other requests are more capable and are therefore not accessible.
