A cover RIM for its top-class device BlackBerry Bold 9900 sold, ensures that the buttons of the keyboard can break off. That says the manufacturer in an internal document, that a telecomblog to the outside.
The conscious case is no longer provided. That the case made for broken keys, was, according to RIM a ‘design flaw’. That error has now been restored. It is unclear how many users of the Bold 9900 with this problem suffered.
RIM released the Bold 9900 in August. It was the first smartphone with BlackBerry OS 7 and the first BlackBerry with a Qualcomm soc: the processor used is 1.2 GHz geklokte MSM8255-singlecore. The device has a 2.8″display with a resolution of 640×480 pixels including a physical qwerty keyboard.
