Apple delivers on Chinese iPhones free a adapter 30-pin connector to micro-usb. In Europe it is micro-usb mandatory on all new models since the end of last year, but in China the obligation is not yet.

Apple is one of the signatories of an agreement between telefoonmakers which they declare to make use of micro-usb. The European agreement states that new models from one year after the standardization of the exact requirements to come true, must be equipped with the ability to set the phone to charge via a micro-usb port. The iPhone 4S is, strictly speaking, in the Netherlands and Belgium under that agreement, because the model 11 months after the adoption of the standard was placed on the market.

The iPhone-maker has now for 9 euro an adapter to purchase for European customers who have an iPhone to charge with any other charger than that of Apple. The converter fits onto the 30-pin connector on the bottom of the iPhone, which Apple also used for charging, data transfer and accessories.

In China found customers the adapter in the box of the iPhone, writes MicGadget. The iPhone 4S came in the past week in China. It is unclear whether Apple the adapter within a short time, also in the box of European iPhones will stop. The rules give no definite answer about whether Apple is the instructions by an adapter for a fee, to offer.
