Acers Iconia A500 tablet will receive this year a successor on the basis of Nvidia’s Tegra 3 chip. The housing of the A510 is a lot tighter and thinner than its predecessor. The resolution is 1280×800 pixels, but the screen seems to be improved.
Appearance boorduurt the A510 is based on the design of the A500. The back is still slightly gebold but the tablet seems to be slimmer. As a result, the usb 2.0 port on the A500 was still there to abandon the field. The bezel around the screen is a lot smaller and Acer also seems to be a different panel to use. The viewing angles were a lot better than the A500, and we suspect, therefore, that the A510 is an ips panel.
The tablet, which is Android Ice Cream Sandwich is running, is not yet officially by Acer announced, but is on the CES crazy enough to be seen at the stand of Nvidia. The manufacturer shows on its booth multiple tablets using its Tegra 3 soc, including the Iconia Tab A510. The present employees of Nvidia could not tell us when the A510 should come on the market and what he is going to cost.
