Lenovo shows ‘Transformer Prime-killer’

The Chinese manufacturer Lenovo at the CES in Las Vegas its first tablet shown with keyboard dock. The dock contains the keyboard, an extra battery, which the Ideatab S2 10 in the same pond fishes like Asus’ Transformer Prime.

The Ideatab S2 10 to 20 hours on a battery charge to work, claim Lenovo, that further details of its new hardware reveals. The Ideapad S2 runs on a dualcore soc in the form of a Qualcomm MSM8960. The operating system is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Also, will Lenovo’s webopslagdienst and private interface, the Mondrian on the tablet. Further details, such as the technology, size and resolution of the screen are unclear. Details about working and storage memory are missing also.

Except with the tablet came Lenovo with a new smartphone, under the name S2. The smartphone should be distinguished by a focus on security, which according to Lenovo on kernelniveau is built. How this works exactly remains uncertain. The S2 has a 3.8″screen with a resolution of 800×480 pixels and runs on an unknown singlecore-soc with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. Supposedly it goes to the Qualcomm MSM8255.

The Chinese manufacturer has no price announced. However, the new hardware within a short time in China on the market. When a release in Europe will follow, is unclear.
