Asus introduces Transformer 700 tablet with 1920×1200 resolution

Asus has at CES a new tablet in its Transformer series ge lwa site. The Transformer 700 is largely similar to the recently released Transformer Prime, but with 1920×1200 pixels and a higher resolution.

The 10.1″screen of the 700 is the same size as that of the Prime, but the resolution of 1920×1200 pixels is much higher. Also has the front facing camera is an upgrade received from 1.2 to 2 megapixel. Apart from the camera and the display the 700 is hardware-identical to the Prime. The device contains a Tegra 3 soc from Nvidia and has a micro-sd card reader and a micro-hdmi output. The optional keyboard dock (both with the Prime as the 700.

Asus has the housing re-designed making the gps and wifi reception improved. The housing of the Prime is made of aluminum and Asus gave recently that this is not ideal for the built – in gps and wi-fi antennas. The Transformer 700 should be in the second quarter of this year in America come and go between 599 and 699 dollars.
