Untethered-jailbreak for older Apple hardware comes from

The iPhone Dev Team has an untethered-jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 released. The jailbreak only works on older hardware. Until now it was only the tethered-jailbreak is still available, where the need for a pc to boot.

The untethered-jailbreak by the iPhone Dev Team has released will not work on hardware with an A5 cpu, allowing users of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 the method does not apply. The jailbreak is available as a Cydia package, for users who have their device already gejailbreakt.
