Samsung announces mid-range-Android-smartphone Galaxy Ace Plus

Samsung has released its first Android smartphone for 2012 announced. The Galaxy Ace Plus is the successor of the Galaxy Ace and has a bigger screen and a processor with a higher clock speed than the Ace.

Compared to the Galaxy Ace, which came out last year, is the screen larger; where the Ace is a 3.5″screen, the Ace Plus a is 3.65″screen. The resolution has remained the same: 320×480 pixels. Therefore, the number of pixels per inch at 158, the half of the 317 of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Nexus.

What type of processor Samsung in the device has done is not known, but it is most likely a Qualcomm MSM8255 cpu. The clock speed of the singlecoreprocessor is 1GHz. The Galaxy Ace received another MSM7227-cpu with a clock speed of 800MHz. Also, the storage memory has been increased; the user has 3GB for apps and other data on the phone store, while music, photos and videos can be stored on a micro-sdhc card with a maximum capacity of 32GB. The Galaxy Ace Plus comes in the first quarter of 2012 in the Dutch shops, for a suggested retail price of 299 euros.
