There are pictures surfaced of the HD7770, a midrange card in AMD’s upcoming HD7000 series. The video card has the Cape Verde gpu on board, on the basis of AMD’s new gpu architecture, and the HD6770 to follow.

The photos were by a user of the Rage3D-forum published. The HD 77×0 series is the slowest series that makes use of AMD’s new gpu architecture. The graphics cards under the HD 77×0 series positioned are likely to be rebranded versions of current video cards.

On the pictures are four memory chips, but the poster of the photos claims that the midrangekaart about eight pieces. Perhaps the other four chips on the back of the card. It is also likely that the video card on a 128bit memory bus. Furthermore a new cooler with a different fan compared to AMD’s current design. This blows air down, and this seems on the coolers of Nvidia GTX 460 and GTX 560 Ti.

The HD 7770 is going to continue on dvi, hdmi and mini-displayport outputs and has a single 6-pin pci-express connector for the power supply, making the consumption up to 150W. A single CrossFireX finger makes a setup of two video cards in CrossFireX.
