Publisher Maximum Family Games would like to in the spring of 2012 a new version of the classic point-and-click puzzle game Myst on the market. The game is expanded with a new chapter that the Rime Age is going to be called.
The original version of Myst was released in 1993 for the rapidly evolving pc platform. It was one of the first games on cd-rom was delivered, instead of on multiple 3½ inch disks, as was usual. The game was famous for its graphical splendor. The cd-rom contained a large number of digitally-rendered, but still images of a fantasy world that consisted of a number of islands. The game was created by developer Cyan Worlds, founded by brothers Rand and Robyn Miller. After Myst gave Cyan successor Riven, and it is a bold move set to begin with the development of mmog Uru.
When the game was in early 2004 when Uru: Ages Beyond Myst on the market appeared, however, was only the singleplayergedeelte playable. The multiplayerdeel was ready, but due to lack of interest never online appeared. After numerous business complications, it is the game since 2010, free to play, on a server hosted by Cyan Worlds itself. The studio reserves now primarily concerned with making games for mobile platforms, including their own Myst and Riven.
