The municipality of M lwa nchen last year 9000 of the 15,000 workplaces to be self-developed LiMux-client migrated. This keeps the project on schedule. Also, almost all MS Ofice suites ported to Openoffice.org.
The municipality of Munich had expected this year 8500 of 12,000 to 15,000 workplaces to put in the LiMux-project. This week however, as was already the 9000ste system migrated. Also, virtually all copies of Microsoft Office replaced by Openoffice.org 3.2.1, with a few exceptions. The project has thus finally be a success with regard to the timing to report.
The project to the gemeentewerkplekken of Microsoft products to its own LiMux client and other open source software to convert got already in 2003, green light, draw H-Open.
