“Google will pay Mozilla almost $ 300 million per year”

The deal that Google with Mozilla has concluded the integration of its search engine in the Firefox browser, would have a value of $ 300 million per year represent. Also, Microsoft and Yahoo would be in the race.

The contract, which earlier this week was announced, valid for three years, bringing the total to almost $ 1 billion, claims AllThingsD. The amount is much higher than in the previous years; in 2010 the contribution in Mozilla’s turnover of 123 million dollars still only 84 percent.

This time it would be Mozilla, however, firmly negotiated with Microsoft, that there were very keen to the market share of its Bing search engine to increase. At the end of October, Mozilla and Microsoft already have a Firefox version with Bing, but the mainclient remains so Google as default search engine.

Also, Yahoo would be in the race for integration as your default internet search provider in Firefox, especially for the decrease of its market share to times. Finally found the amounts that Mozilla asked is too high. Mozilla has already taken the necessary agreements with partners such as Microsoft, Yahoo, Amazon and eBay, but these relate less prominent integration of services.
