Google seems to roll out Ice Cream Sandwich for the Nexus S temporarily to have paused. An official lwa le declaration is not given, but it seems that the battery life for many users drops after the install of the update.
Amongst other things, on Googles own ondersteuningsfora and the ontwikkelaarsforum XDA get messages from users that the update, which over-the-air arrives, can’t install. A Google employee has indicated that the rollout of the update is paused, but the internetgigant has still no explanation.
At the same time, many complaints were received about the battery life after the ICS update that is installed on the Nexus S. This would fall off rapidly and seems to be particularly due to increased cpu usage. This may be the reason that Google is the update withdraws. Some users also report that the battery no longer wants to charge, and report problems with 3g reception.
Google started recently with the rollout of ICS for the Nexus S, after it already had been promised a update will bring.
