Dutch manufacturer, BeBook e-reader is bankrupt

The Utrecht-based company Endless Ideas is bankrupt. The company brought under more e-readers on the market and introduced last year a own Android tablet. The curator is planning a relaunch with the company.

Tuesday said the judge to the bankruptcy of the Utrecht-based company and now is that the status of the company in the commercial register. Endless Ideas brought forth in 2008 as a first e-reader on the market, which is sold under the name BeBook. Later, the manufacturer support for 3g and wi-fi and a touchscreen. In 2011, a private, cheap Android tablet, the BeBook Live, with a Cortex A8 cpu and a capacitive screen of 7″.

The manufacturer, just the head has claimed, is unclear. The e-readers and tablets of the company were well received, but the stiff competition and difficult economic times, the company the das to have done. What the consequences are for customers who need support, for example for repair, is not known. The curator was not reachable for comment, but knew at Emerce to tell that a restart is in progress.
