Manufacturers ordered in november reportedly more 7″panels for tabletschermen than a 9.7″versions. Apple screwed its orders back to the arrival of the iPad 3, while Amazon and Barnes & Noble understand more ordered.
Due to the popularity of the iPad surpassed the number of orders for a 9.7″panels for smaller variants, until recently, with large distance. There is in november, however, changed, claims Digitimes, based on information from its sources at Taiwanese technology companies. The number of orders for the 7″panels was in that month is greater than the demand to 9.7″-schermpanelen.
Is expected to put this trend to continue as, since the reason of the increase of the number 7″-orders that Amazon and Barnes & Noble in the past two months a lot of copies of, respectively, the Kindle Fire and the Nook Tablet sell. Somewhere in the first half of 2012, however, the iPad 3 is expected; so it probably attracts the production of 9.7″panels again soon.
To the specifications of the iPad 3 is still a guess, although the rumors about a tablet with a resolution of 2048×1536 persistent. In the past time were also published reports about the arrival of a small iPad with 7.85″screen, but this seems unlikely as Steve Jobs always said that a tablet with a smaller screen diagonal than a 9.7″ not fine works.
