BioWare-directors hint at a Mac version The Old Republic

Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, both the founder director of developer BioWare, stating that they ‘definitely going to look to develop a OS X version of Star Wars: The Old Republic. They do, however, not a commitment.

“As a BioWare fan I can Star Wars: The Old Republic will not play on my not even two year old Macbook”, held a colleague of the website, Joystick, Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk. “I would say: not yet”, said Zeschuk. Which he continued: “That is absolutely one of the things that we are going to look. We want to be first, the introduction of a good way round, and make sure that everything is stable and everyone is happy. Then we will go to other platforms to watch, and this is clearly one of the first.” Muzyka added: “We know that there’s a big Mac audience is under the BioWare fans. We know that a large and important audience, and we also want to serve.”

Star Wars: The Old Republic since december 20, playable. USA Today estimated the number of players on the 25th of december already 1 million. Market analyst Colin Sebastian estimated earlier this week the maximum number of players online at the same time is in the mmog at 350.000. BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts have not yet figures out. EA and BioWare with Star Wars: The Old Republic to compete with World of Warcraft, the now seven-year-old mmog from Blizzard, that’s still 10 million paying members.
