Belgian justice investigating fraud internet banking

A Belgian investigating judge is an investigation into attacks on internetbankierende bank customers started. Reason is a ‘worrying increase’ in the number of attacks. The number of successful attacks is small.

The Belgian federal public prosecutor’s office sets a “worrying increase” of the attacks on online banking fixed, writes The Standard. The Brussels examining magistrate Michel Claise has therefore started a study of the digital attacks on internetbankierende customers.

The bank BNP Paribas Fortis stood at the base of the research; that company filed a complaint about the increased number of attempts by cybercriminals to bank customers money.
