Asrock introduces three small motherboards with Atoms

Asrock has introduced three new motherboards with Atom processor released. The signs have, as usual, the mitx format, and are equipped with Intel’s economical, but not very powerful, the Atom D2500 and D2700 processors.

The instapbordje is the AD2500B-ITX, which is equipped with an Atom D2500, reports VR-Zone. This cpu is at 1.86 GHz clocked and both cores on 32nm fried. Hyperthreading is not supported and the processors have a tdp of 10W, and 1MB L2 cache. The Atom is passively cooled and with the NM10 chipset combined. The moederbordje has two memory slots for laptopgeheugen and a pci slot. Furthermore, include four usb 2.0 ports, a network port and two sata-300 ports.

A slightly more modern sign is the AD2700B-ITX; Asrock makes this use of the D2700, which is at 2.13 GHz clocked and hyperthreading support. The built-in gpu in the D2700 is a gma3650, opposite the gma3600 in the D2500. Also the i/o ports with two usb 3.0 ports, something more modern. The two so-dimm slots, two sata-300 ports and pci slot, however, remained intact, only did the network upgrade to a gigabitpoort.

The ‘top model’ in the series, the AD2700-ITX, which is about the same D2700-Atom as well as the middenmoter. Especially the connectivity is addressed; there are four usb 2.0 and two usb 3.0 ports, a gigabitnetwerkpoort and more audio jacks. Also the ports are modern and consist of a D-sub, dvi – and hdmi-connection. The single pci slot, the two slots for laptopgeheugen and the two sata-300 ports are remained. About prices and availability, made Asrock no details yet.
