There are pictures published of two still unannounced phones in the Xperia series. Xperia devices carry normally the name Sony Ericsson, but both depicted instances only have Sony on the front.
The images were published by Xperia Blog, which tells that it is unclear to what extent the listed devices actually exist. Also missing are the names and specifications of the devices. On one of the renders, the date is January 12 listed, so it is reasonable that the manufacturer of the devices during the consumer electronics show CES in Las Vegas would like to announce.
Although there is only Sony on the front, both appear to be devices on previous Xperia devices from Sony Ericsson are released. It is likely that Android on the still unannounced phones running; other Xperia devices also came with Google’s mobile operating system, and one of the images shows the lockscreen of Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
It is striking that the new Xperia handsets only in the name of Sony, though it was recently announced that Sony’s partner in the joint venture with Ericsson for an amount of 1.05 billion euros, has bought out. If the images are real, it is possible to have the first devices that Sony released after the dissolution of the joint venture Sony Ericsson. There are, however, also devices expect that under the name of Sony Ericsson to be released.
