Apple would be planning to go in the second quarter of 2012 MacBook Pro’s with a screen resolution of 2880×1800 pixels. With the high pixel density would Apple want to distinguish from other manufacturers.

Sources at suppliers as the advent of monitors with the 2880×1800 resolution ‘likely’, claims the Taiwanese site Digitimes, which has a mixed past with rumors about Apple devices. The aspect ratio is 16:10, as Apple is also in his current line is used. The claim, however, seems very unlikely; the current resolution of the MacBook Pro 17″ is 1920×1200 pixels, that of the 15″Macbook Pro up to 1680×1050 pixels and that of the 13″laptop from Apple is even but 1280×800 pixels. Even the Apple Thunderbolt display with a screen diagonal of 27 inches with 2560×1440 pixels to a lower resolution.

However, there are already indications that notebook – and tabletfabrikanten each other in 2012 with resolution to compete. So can 10,1″tablets, like the iPad, according to previous posts, with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. Manufacturers have already shown these panels. Also, would ultrabooks, among other Asus and Acer, with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Intel warned notebookfabrikanten at the IDF in september, that they next year have to go respond to the need for higher resolutions if they want to stay and that they have to take into account the consequences for the energy consumption. Beeldschermfabrikanten would among other things lower energy consumption want to achieve by the screen, a piece of memory to build, which the laatstgetoonde frame is stored.
