Microsoft responds to SkyDrive problems on Windows Phone

Microsoft has apologized for an error in the query on SkyDrive stored documents via the Office Hub of Windows Phone. Although the error message indicated that the documents were removed, this was not the case.

The problems arise after a new release of Microsoft’s SkyDrive Wednesday. Windows Phone users who are using the Office Hub tried to SkyDrive-to obtain the documents, received from the cloud platform the message that the file is not downloaded. When OneNote files, the message will be displayed indicating that this even had been removed.

Microsoft claims, now in a posting on the Windows Blog stated that there are no files have been deleted from SkyDrive. Also the company offers its apologies for the error. The problem would be that, as a result of the changes implemented in the cloudopslagplatform, the urls to the files is no longer correct. This ‘thought’ the Office Hub application that the relevant documents were gone.

To remedy the problem, Microsoft has a work-around published. The Office Hub will be reset. The disadvantage of this method is that a Windows Phone-mobile locally stored SkyDrive files to lose, so again a sync must be performed.
